All transformation must begin with honest self-reflection and gratitude for where we are today. The Caterpillar does not know it is becoming the butterfly, and Paradoxically, the greatest changes occur when we release the need and pressure to change at all. In this stage we utilize the Earth element to ground - which is to be in relationship and acceptance of what IS. From this grounded space we will establish rooted commitments to self and plant the seeds of intention for the metamorphosis to come.

ALCHEMICAL STAGE: Purification
DEVELOPMENTAL YEARS: 7 - 14yr
THEMES: RE-wiring Emotional Patterns ~ Surrendering Control ~ Dissolving Dense Emotions
As the Caterpillar enters the cocoon, it uses it’s own digestive enzymes to dissolve into the raw cellular material that will form the butterfly. In phase 2, we work with the process of catharsis to dissolve our dense emotions into the fluid material that will one day form into our butterfly. We work with the wisdom of the water element ~ learning the strength of surrender and the power of our deepest emotions as catalysts for change.

Once the caterpillar has dissolved into pure DNA, the process of alchemy begins as light enters the chrysalis and forms what will become the butterflies wings. As the master of alchemy, fire is an incredible ally in a transformational journey. In stage 3, we cultivate our inner fire by empowering our will. By courageously stepping into the heat, we burn away mental habits that are holding us back and begin forging ourselves into our highest expression of self.

The first flight of every butterfly requires Trust. It isn’t enough to spread our wings, we must also take that first leap in order to truly fly. In stage 4, we acknowledge the fears that are blocking us from taking that leap and release them into the winds of change. We utilize the element of air to ignite our higher vision and inspire us towards a unique dream for our life. In a blinding moment of clarity and grace, we are crazy enough to take the first flight towards our dreams…and once we’ve flown, we can never go back to believing we can’t…
Vibration is the subtle building block of all matter and as such sound has one of the most powerful capacities to create lasting change by imprinting harmonic perfection into the cellular DNA that will resonate outwards. Mera Mu’s unique approach to Sound Healing utilizes her angelic voice to call us into spaces the mind cannot enter ~ where deep and lasting healing and catharsis can occur.

Meditation is an essential part of any transformational toolkit ~ helping to rewire patterns that take us away from our essence and strengthen our relationship to our true nature. We will be utilizing a specific mantra and mudra for each phase to balance the element we are working with in the body and mind ~ creating harmony on all levels.

Each Element carries a special role in the process of high alchemy ~ symbolically transforming our life’s lead into gold. As the caterpillar dissolves and reforms itself into the Butterfly from the very same matter ~ Through intentionally crafted rituals with each element we will turn our unconscious patterns, dense emotions, and shadow aspects into the material for our Metamorphosis!
